Formula SAE China Competition: TJU Racing Team

The Formula SAE competition challenges students to design, build, develop, and market a small formula-style racing car. The TJU Racing Team at Tongji University was established in May 2007 and fielded their first vehicle at the 2009 Formula SAE Japan competition. The team placed third for first-year teams (among 80 teams) and third in individual business reports overall.

In 2010, China launched its first Formula SAE competition and the TJU Racing Team took on a daunting schedule as they competed in both China and Japan, which required them to field two different vehicles. At the inaugural FSAE China competition, the team won four prizes: Best Safety Award, Design Report Award, Design Award, and the FSAE Annual Comprehensive Award.
