Overview
You can perform basic matrix operations such as addition, multiplication,
or concatenation on LTI models. Such operations are "overloaded,"
which means that they use the same syntax as they do for matrices,
but are adapted to apply to LTI objects. These overloaded operations
and their interpretation in this context are discussed in this chapter.
You can read about discretization methods in this chapter as well.
These operations can be applied to LTI models of different types.
As a result, before discussing operations on LTI models, we discuss
model type precedence and how LTI model properties are inherited when
models are combined using these operations. To read about how you
can apply these operations to arrays of LTI models, see Operations on LTI Arrays.
To read about functions for analyzing LTI models, see Model Analysis Tools.
