Module Packaging Features

This document describes the Real-Time Workshop® Embedded Coder™ module packaging features (MPF). These features include the ability to package code as desired in the generated files, register user-defined data types, customize comments, call third-party software, and locate variables in target memory. Details are described in the following chapters:

Getting StartedExplains the module packaging features (MPF), provides a basic tutorial of MPF tasks, and provides links to the remaining procedures in this guide.
Selecting and Defining TemplatesExplains how to select and define MPF templates so that the .c and .h files you generate are organized that way you want.
Managing the Data DictionaryDescribes the data dictionary that is created for Simulink® and Stateflow® models. Also, explains how to register user-defined data types, add data objects to the dictionary, and change case and spellings of identifier names.
Customizing with Additional OptionsProvides additional options for configuring the generated code that are not included in the other procedures (chapters) of this guide.
Managing File Placement of Data Definitions and DeclarationsExplains how interdependent MPF settings manage file placement of data definitions and data declarations, their priorities and frequencies of use.
Reference TablesProvides tables that define MPF-related configuration settings, MPF template symbols and rules, mpt parameter and signal properties, and data placement rules.
