dicomuid - Generate DICOM unique identifier

Syntax

UID = dicomuid

Description

UID = dicomuid creates a string UID containing a new DICOM unique identifier.

Multiple calls to dicomuid produce globally unique values. Two calls to dicomuid always return different values.
