Representing Motion
This chapter explains the SimMechanics™ representation of
body position, orientation, and motion. It connects mechanics concepts
commonly used in physics and engineering with specific SimMechanics implementations.
The last section is a case study on configuring a SimMechanics Body
block to represent position and orientation.
This chapter assumes some familiarity with mechanics and vector
analysis. You should work through it as a single unit. Consult the chapter References for more.
