Refreshing Model Blocks
Refreshing a Model block updates its internal representation
to reflect changes in the interface of the model that it references.
For example, you must refresh a Model block if its referenced model
has gained or lost a port. When more than one Model block references
a model whose interface has changed, you must refresh all the Model
blocks. Changes that do not affect a referenced model's interface
to its parent do not require refreshing the block.
To refresh all Model blocks in a model, select Refresh
Model Blocks from the model's Edit menu.
To update a specific Model block, select Refresh from
the block's context menu. You can also refresh a model by starting
a simulation or generating code.
Simulink provides diagnostics that you can use to detect
changes in the interfaces of referenced models that could require
refreshing the Model blocks that reference them. The diagnostics include:
