| Learn more about Stateflow |
This guide introduces you to Stateflow® software, an interactive, graphical design tool for developing and simulating event-driven systems based on finite-state machine theory.
To get up and running quickly, you will build and simulate a realistic Stateflow chart as part of a Simulink® model.
This guide is designed for users who have little or no experience with the Stateflow product, but who do have a basic knowledge of Simulink modeling and simulation software and MATLAB® technical computing software.
| Introduction to the Stateflow Product | Introduces you to the Stateflow product and a basic workflow for building a Stateflow chart. |
| The Stateflow Chart You Will Build | Describes the Stateflow chart you will build in the context of a Simulink model. |
| Defining the Interface to the Simulink Model | Guides you through phase 1 of a basic workflow for building a Stateflow chart: defining the interface to the Simulink model |
| Defining the States for Modeling Each Mode of Operation | Guides you through phase 2 of a basic workflow for building a Stateflow chart: defining the states for modeling each mode of operation |
| Defining State Actions and Variables | Guides you through phase 3 of a basic workflow for building a Stateflow chart: defining state actions and variables |
| Defining Transitions Between States | Guides you through phase 4 of a basic workflow for building a Stateflow chart: defining transitions between states |
| Triggering a Stateflow Chart | Guides you through phase 5 of a basic workflow for building a Stateflow chart: deciding how to trigger the Stateflow chart |
| Simulating the Chart | Shows how to simulate a Stateflow chart, by using breakpoints and observing data |
| Debugging the Chart | Shows how to debug errors in a Stateflow chart |
