Laurent matrices constructor

Syntax

• M = laurmat(V)
  

Description

M = laurmat(V) returns the Laurent matrix object M associated with V which can be a cell array (at most two dimensional) of Laurent polynomials (see laurpoly) or an ordinary matrix.

Examples

• % Define Laurent matrices.
  M1 = laurmat(eye(2,2))
   
        | 1     0  |
        |          |
   M1 = |          |
        |          |
        | 0     1  |
  
  Z  = laurpoly(1,1);
  M2 = laurmat({1 Z;0 1})
   
        | 1     z^(+1)  |
        |               |
   M2 = |               |
        |               |
        | 0       1     |
  
  % Calculus on Laurent polynomials.
  P = M1 * M2
   
       | 1     z^(+1)  |
       |               |
   P = |               |
       |               |
       | 0       1     |
  
  d = det(P)
   
  d(z) = 1
