Return the maximum exponent for a quantizer

Syntax

• exponentmax(q)
  

Description

exponentmax(q) returns the maximum exponent for quantizer q. When q is a fixed-point quantizer, it returns 0.

• q = quantizer('double'); 
  exponentmax(q) 
  

returns the value ans = 1023.
