Pioneering Design Methods in the Automotive Industry.
For the fourth time The MathWorks Germany hosted the International Automotive Conference (IAC) in Germany on the 15th and 16th of June 2004 in the Liederhalle/Hegel-Saal, Stuttgart. Attended by about 400 participants from 15 countries, the first three conferences were very successful. The theme of the two-day congress was "Pioneering Design Methods in the Automotive Industry". The event served automotive manufacturers and suppliers from Europe, the USA, and Japan as a forum for exchanging innovative approaches and successfully trodden ways using the MATLAB product family.
Experts from The MathWorks USA provided an overview over the new MATLAB and Simulink release with its many innovations and extensions and focused on the whole process of model based system design from first design steps to final hardware implementation.
During the conference, well-known automotive manufacturers and suppliers from all over the world presented examples of successful deployments of MATLAB products as a design platform.
The IAC offered participants the opportunity to discuss advanced technological concepts and to learn about recent trends in design software. Special applications were tested on PCs solely dedicated to that purpose.
Accompanying the IAC, The MathWorks arranged an exhibition in which users presented their own MATLAB and Simulink related products.
