Design and Verify Embedded Signal Processing Systems Using MATLAB® and Simulink®New

Seminar Overview

Embedded Signal Processing

MATLAB® and Simulink® software provides algorithm designers, system architects, and embedded hardware and software engineers with a comprehensive set of tools that address the challenges of ever-shorter design cycles for systems with ever-increasing complexity. Discover how you can use MATLAB and Simulink to model and simulate systems and algorithms at a high-level of abstraction, design algorithms for implementation on embedded signal processing hardware and software, and verify the implementation against the original model for correctness.

Using a WiMAX®-based multimedia system as an example, MathWorks engineers will demonstrate step-by-step workflows for simulating system level behavior, modeling real-world impairments, developing and integrating implementation-ready algorithms, and verifying hardware and software components.

Who Should Attend

Familiarity with MathWorks products is not required. This seminar is intended for anyone involved in wireless communication system design, including:

  • Communications engineers
  • Electrical engineers
  • System architects
  • System engineers
  • Embedded algorithm developers

Seminar Highlights

Discover how MATLAB and Simulink enable you to:

  • Capture requirements in executable system models
  • Efficiently model the effect of RF impairments, complex timing, and fading multipath channels on receiver designs
  • Convert “Golden Reference” floating point MATLAB algorithms into fixed-point designs and embeddable C code|
  • Design hardware and software components in a single environment
  • Automatically generate efficient, readable C and HDL code
  • Integrate with commonly used third party tools to verify DSP software, HDL, and analog/mixed-signal implementation
  • Rapidly test designs using Hardware-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop prototyping

See the latest latest product features and demonstrations, including:

  • Simulink® HDL Coder™ – learn to generate bit-true, cycle-accurate, synthesizable Verilog and VHDL® code from Simulink models, Stateflow® charts, and Embedded MATLAB™ code.

  • Embedded MATLAB™ – the subset of the MATLAB language that can be compiled into efficient code for embedded implementation. MathWorks engineers will show you how you can now include Embedded MATLAB code within models for efficient system simulation and for embedded C and HDL code generation.
