In this free half-day seminar, MathWorks engineers will introduce Model-Based Design. You will learn how Simulink®, Stateflow®, Real-Time Workshop®, xPC Target™ and other MathWorks products can increase product quality and accelerate and simplify your development process. Using a case study, MathWorks engineers will demonstrate how you can:

• Create executable specifications of the design to improve communication of requirements between groups.
• Design with simulation to reduce the need for real prototypes, and perform faster design cycles.
• Implement your design through automatic code generation, eliminating potential errors from hand coding.
• Test and verify your designs, catching errors earlier in the development process, when they are easier and less costly to fix.

We'll also show how you can use Simulink and Stateflow models in conjunction with various hardware options for rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop testing of embedded control systems. You'll see how you can achieve real-time execution on target hardware, enabling the analysis and refinement of the algorithms for use in production programs.
