Events - Seminars

Using Simulink for Design, Implementation, and Verification of Embedded Flight Control Systemsnew

Seminar Overview

Aerospace

Join the MathWorks for this special complimentary event comprised of two sessions.

In the morning session, MathWorks engineers will demonstrate how you can use dynamic simulation to model, design and verify control systems before testing on hardware. In the afternoon session, they will demonstrate how to automatically generate, integrate, and verify embedded flight code from Simulink models. This session also features new tool qualification kits from The MathWorks that support the popular aerospace standard DO-178B.

Please join us for one session or stay for the full-day. However, seating is limited for this special event, so please reserve your seat today. Previous knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink is not required to attend either of the sessions.

Seminar Highlights

Design and Simulate Control Systems using Simulink

Morning Session: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

In the morning session of this full-day seminar, MathWorks engineers will introduce how you can use dynamic simulation to model, design and verify control systems before testing on hardware. You will learn how Simulink and other MathWorks products can help you reduce development time and costs, improve quality, and deliver systems with higher performance and efficiency. Using an aerospace flight control effector case study, MathWorks engineers will demonstrate how you can:

  • Troubleshoot existing design problems systematically and effectively, without tying up actual hardware systems
  • Try different control strategies safely and quickly
  • Test more thoroughly, by starting before hardware is available and by simulating conditions that would be dangerous or costly to examine with real hardware
  • Test your system in real time

High-Integrity Flight Code Generation and Verification Using Simulink

Afternoon Session: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In this session, discover how Simulink enables you to perform common software engineering tasks such as detailed software specification, requirements tracing, code generation, automated documentation, testing, and validation. MathWorks engineers will demonstrate how Simulink and the Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder help you to produce and verify high-integrity code that is optimized for speed, memory usage, and simplicity.

Who Should Attend The Seminar

Both sessions of this full-day seminar are designed primarily for those who are unfamiliar with Simulink and add-on products, including:

  • System engineers
  • Embedded control system developers
  • Control system engineers
  • Real-time software developers
  • Project managers
  • Engineering managers
  • Embedded systems engineers
  • Software developers
