Rapid Design and Implementation of Sensor-Based Systems in FPGAs Using MATLAB® and Simulink®new

Seminar Overview

Aerospace and defense electronics applications face high-speed signal processing demands, rigorous test and verification requirements, and the challenges of sustainability. More than ever, engineers need to improve productivity when designing radar, electronic warfare, communications, and other advanced sensor-based systems.

In this seminar, The MathWorks and Altera® will present a solution to these challenges: a workflow that enables multiple design teams—including systems, software, hardware, signal processing, and RF design—to work together in a common design environment using MATLAB and Simulink.  With this workflow, your design team can:

  • Model and simulate systems and algorithms at a high level of abstraction
  • Develop algorithms with Embedded MATLAB™ functionality
  • Explore “what if” scenarios
  • Rapidly implement designs on Altera FPGAs and HardCopy® ASICs

Thank you for your interest in MathWorks Seminars. There are no dates currently scheduled for this Seminar. For more information on our seminars and products contact MathWorks sales or please visit:

Who Should Attend

Engineers working on radar, EW/ECM, guidance, communications, and sensor-based applications, including:

  • Algorithm developers, system designers, and architects
  • Embedded software and hardware engineers, including HDL designers
  • Engineering management

Seminar Highlights

  • Learn how to use Simulink® to model a radar system that includes elaborated designs for chirp generation, receiver RF front-end modeling, matched filter processing, and antenna pattern models, and to prepare the design for hardware implementation
  • See how to use Altera design software to implement a highly optimized front-end design: four channels using 3 GSPS ADCs running at a 350 MHz system clock rate
  • Get answers to your questions directly from experts in MATLAB®, Simulink, and Altera design software

Because this is a jointly hosted seminar, The MathWorks and Altera will share registration information.
