2011 Technology Trend Seminar @ Delft University of Technology: Speed up numerical analysis with MATLAB

Seminar Overview

TUD_logo_2

Every day, several thousands researchers use MathWorks’ software tools for the development of innovative algorithms and the analysis of complex data. MATLAB provides a comprehensive set of tools that address the challenges of developing innovation without duplicating what has already previously been created or optimized by others.

Unique on-site event @ Delft University of Technology
During a half day on-site event (room B, Faculty of Civil Engineering & Geosciences), you will learn how MATLAB enables fundamental as well as applied research and you will receive an insight into the latest trends. MathWorks’ technical specialists will present key topics, including live demonstrations. Dènis Riedijk, advanced developments engineer, will present applications developed at Thales that are integrated in MATLAB and take full advantage of GPUs for speeding up execution.

Join to review the best practices to efficiently develop MATLAB code and improve its reusability and performance. The first session will provide an overview of different techniques for numerical analysis in MATLAB, focusing on the most recent developments.  The second part of the seminar will describe how to improve the performance of your MATLAB code using multi-core processors and computer clusters. The last part of the seminar will focus on the use of GPUs for speeding up massively parallel applications.

This seminar is jointly organized by MathWorks and Delft Centre for Computational Science and Engineering (DCSE).
