Recorded Webinar: Controlling Instruments and Serial Devices with MATLAB and Simulink
Get immediate access to this webinar, and other recorded webinars, by completing this form.
MATLAB® and Simulink® are well known software environments for data acquisition, data analysis, hardware control, and system development. Attend this webinar and learn how you can use MATLAB or Simulink to configure, control, or acquire live data from external hardware.
MATLAB provides multiple methods to connect to external devices, such as instruments (function generators, oscilloscopes, signal analyzers), serial devices, data acquisition boards, custom hardware, imaging equipment, and other devices. Simulink now also provides multiple techniques to interface to this type of hardware.
This webinar will discuss and demonstrate how to:
- Acquire live data directly into MATLAB or Simulink
- Configure and control instruments such as oscilloscopes and function generators
- Configure and control hardware that has a RS-232 serial or LAN interface (such as a handheld GPS receiver)
Data Acquisition Toolbox, Instrument Control Toolbox, and Image Acquisition Toolbox provide MATLAB and Simulink support for acquiring live or measured data, or configuring hardware.
