modeling advanced

In this webinar we demonstrate the benefits of using MATLAB and Simulink for advanced process control. Using a boiler example MathWorks engineers will demonstrate how you can use MathWorks products to:

•  Quickly create a process model from process data using system identification.
•  Design and simulate model predictive controller for the process.
•  Connect the controller to the process and control the process in real-time using OPC communication.

This approach enables you to accelerate your controller development process and to test and verify your controller before deploying it to production system.

Presenter: Tony Lennon

Presenter Bio: Tony is the Industry Marketing Manager for the industrial automation and machinery market at The MathWorks, where he leads the marketing effort to foster industry adoption of The MathWorks products and Model-Based Design.  Prior to joining The MathWorks, Tony worked in engineering and marketing at Metso Automation and General Dynamics, where he developed an extensive background in pressure vessel design and manufacture and flow control technology.
Tony holds a B. Sc. in Engineering Physics from the University of Maine and a M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a M. Sc. in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
