Learn how MATLAB provides a complete environment in which to visualize, explore, and analyze geospatial data such as vector maps, georeferenced imagery, and terrain data. Version 2.0 of the Mapping Toolbox has significant new capabilities, such as support for standard GIS and geospatial file formats, new display functions (including display of georeferenced imagery and vector symbolization), projection enhancements, and a new interactive map viewer. These capabilities are useful in applications such as aerospace, defense, geophysics, intelligence, oceanography, and other earth and planetary sciences. This webinar includes a brief product overview and several demonstrations.
Product Focus
- Access a wide variety of geospatial data
- Create map displays that combine geospatial data from multiple modalities and display them in their correct spatial relationships
- Perform standard analyses, such as line-of-sight calculations on terrain data or geographic computations that account for the curvature of the Earth’s surface
