Recorded Webinar: Accelerating Execution Speed of Fixed-Point Algorithms in MATLAB and Simulink

Get immediate access to this webinar, and other recorded webinars, by completing this form.

In this webinar MathWorks engineers introduce new capabilities for modeling and simulation of fixed-point algorithms in MATLAB® and Simulink®. Attendees will discover how using MATLAB, Simulink, and featured toolboxes and blocksets can help them to model and design fixed-point algorithms, and substantially accelerate the simulation speed of their MATLAB functions while performing design validation and trade-off analysis.

Through demonstrations, we will showcase specific features of Fixed-Point Toolbox, Simulink Fixed-Point, and related products including Signal Processing Blockset, Real-Time Workshop®, and Video and Image Processing Blockset. We will also show how these features help users to tackle problems and challenges including:

  • Converting an algorithm from a floating-point to a fixed-point representation
  • Accelerating the execution speed of fixed-point MATLAB algorithms, either in MATLAB workspace or within a Simulink model
  • Using Simulink and Real-Time Workshop to automatically generate C code from a well-defined subset of the MATLAB language with the Embedded MATLAB Function block

Product Focus

  • Fixed-Point Toolbox
  • Simulink® Fixed-Point
  • Simulink® / Real-Time Workshop
  • Simulink® Accelerator
  • Signal Processing Blockset
  • Video and Image Processing Blockset
