Job Summary

The need to bring innovative, high-quality products to market faster is driving the use of models during the design and realization process. The MathWorks core software platforms, MATLAB and Simulink, form the foundation of an integrated model-based design environment. The integration of data analysis, algorithm development, modeling and simulation, automatic code generation, and reporting into a single software environment is becoming essential for companies that develop signal processing systems for diverse applications in the communication, electronics and many other industries. 

In this role, you will provide strategic consulting services to many of our most important customers in a variety of industries including communications, automotive and aerospace to help them adopt these techniques. Working as part of a larger commercial team, you will develop and execute challenging consulting engagements in the areas of technical computing and signal processing, to help our customers to succeed by exploiting the full potential of MathWorks products.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct technical contribution to consulting projects across a range of industries and applications  
• Business development activities, including making presentations to customers, analyzing their requirements, and preparing project proposals  
• Project management activities, with project sizes typically ranging from 1 to 4 people and from several days to many months  
• Supporting MathWorks sales and marketing teams in the penetration of key accounts  
• Supporting MathWorks software development teams by providing detailed feedback on use of the tools "in the field" 

Qualifications

Required

• Good first degree in engineering or mathematics discipline plus relevant MSc plus 3 to 5 years experience  
• 2-4 years experience using MATLAB  
• Extensive experience of software development in MATLAB and one or more of C, C++, Java, .NET  
• Strong desire to learn about new technologies and application areas 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a Nordic language

Desireable

• Track record in the areas of signal processing, analysis, modeling and optimization
• Implementation of signal processing algorithms in embedded software or hardware
• Practical application of signal processing techniques in the communications, aerospace or automotive industries
• Fluent Swedish and additional Nordic languages
