Job Summary

Writer responsible for creating and updating software documentation for Simulink®, Real Time Workshop® Embedded Coder™, and related products, focusing on verification of production code and target connectivity. We are looking for a strong team player who enjoys working on complex, cross-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

The writer will work closely with product teams to research, plan, and write new and update existing documentation. The writer will actively participate in the planning, specification, and testing of product features.

The writer will also contribute to projects that improve the quality of documentation and documentation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, or science
• 3 years of technical writing experience for a science or engineering audience
• Understanding of computer science concepts, including hardware
• Understanding of software programming concepts and basic knowledge of the C programming language or the ability to read pseudo code

Plusses:

• Advanced technical or scientific degree
• Familiarity with real-time and embedded system applications
• Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink or another graphical modeling and simulation environment
• Familiarity with the software development process and development tools
• Programming experience
• Experience with C++ or another object-oriencted language
• Experience with HTML, XML, and an XML authoring tool
