Job Summary

This writer will create and update documentation for MATLAB users, including documentation about file input and output formats, audio/video formats. The writer will produce context-sensitive help, as well as user guides and reference pages.

Responsibilities

The writer will work closely with the Development team to research, plan, write, and update documentation with user-focused, task-based approaches to technical writing. In addition, the writer will participate with the Development team in the planning, specification, and testing phases of the products. The writer will also work with the Documentation group to develop online documentation, coordinate documentation projects, and contribute to projects that improve the effectiveness of the documentation.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Technical writing experience (3+ years preferred)
• Programming experience (Object Oriented Programming a plus)
• Bachelor's degree
• Collaborative team player
• Ability to work with multiple teams

Pluses

• Degree in engineering, science, math, computer science or related field
• MATLAB experience (or similar language)
• XML-based authoring tool
