Job Summary

This writer will be responsible for new and existing software documentation for signal processing and filter design products. The writer will prepare documentation in printed, PDF, and online formats.

Responsibilities

The writer will work closely with the Development team to research, plan, write, and update new and existing software user documentation. The writer will be an active participant in Development team planning, specifications, and testing of product features. The writer will also contribute to and coordinate Documentation group projects that improve the quality and effectiveness of the documentation and documentation processes.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, or physics
  • Strong mathematical or engineering background
  • Experience writing for an engineering audience
  • Willingness and ability to acquire new technical skills and information quickly
  • Team-player attitude
Pluses:
  • Advanced technical or scientific degree(s)
  • Knowledge of signal processing theory and time-frequency analysis
  • Familiarity with the software development process and development tools
  • Experience with MathWorks products
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts
  • Experience with an XML authoring tool
