Job Summary

The Sales Support Specialist supports the Swiss Sales Force with lead qualification, lead and opportunity management, and closing sales activities for all accounts in the Swiss, German, French and Italian speaking areas of Switzerland. Based in Bern, CH; the responsibilities of the Sales Support Specialist will encompass all aspects of sales support including; customer inquiry, lead triage, direct selling activities and obtaining and reviewing customer purchase orders, gathering relevant analytical data to report on territory progress and to support sales planning processes.



Responsibilities

Manage all sales activities from lead to close. Qualification of marketing and sales leads, including preparation of all required sales quotes to new and existing customers

  • Take incoming phone & email inquiries and clean opportunities in the CRM system
  • Qualification of New Product Sales (NPS) and Software Maintenance Service (SMS)
  • Creating NPS & SMS quotes as defined by sales
  • Maintain and manage all lead and opportunity activities in Siebel
  • Handling one-off fulfillment requests that cannot be handled by external lead qualification agent
  • Handling customer inquiries related to licensing and/or SMS policies
  • Triaging and/or processing software trial requests
  • Chasing purchase orders at the request of sales Working NPS & SMS opportunities as defined by sales
  • Resolving purchase order discrepancies with purchasing and/or end users.

Sales Team Support and Internal Process Administration:

  • Mixed analysis (e.g., lead generation, Commercial/Education, new/old customer, Product Cluster, Industry, order size strata,…) to support planned focus and activities
  • Planning with Marketing Program contact to leverage all applicable corporate tools and activities to target new and existing contacts in new and existing markets
  • Conduct market research to document customer/industry/ territory trends to improve future planning and report competitive information
  • Primary and escalated sales support contact for all questions relating to Processes, Policies, Pricing and Licensing, making all required inquiries with relevant adjacencies to come up with in-model recommendations or resolutions
  • Maintain up-to-date funnel, prepare forecast, and present funnel-forecast update during sales meetings
  • Process purchase orders for submission within the Internal order framework


Qualifications

  • KV or Commercial Degree or higher required
  • Fluent German and English (spoken and written) are a requirement for this position
  • 3 years of sales support, lead management, customer service, or telemarketing experience
  • Familiarity with the use of spreadsheets, word processors, and the web
  • Comfortable to engage with non native English speakers/writers via phone and email)
  • Customer satisfaction focus
  • Ability to work well both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Strong listening, probing and excellent written skills
  • Strong organization/prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines

Plusses

  • Familiarity with software licensing and policies
  • French, Italian or other European languages
  • Experience working in a goal-oriented environment
  • General understanding of the function of a sales representative
  • Knowledge of CRM application (ex.: Seibel, Goldmine, SAP etc.)
