Job Summary

Maximize sales of The MathWorks products and services to our selected major accounts , customers within the Auto Industry. Understand and leverage Automotive Industry issues and trends to seed and then develop medium to long term potential.

Responsibilities

Achievement of revenue targets; New Product Sales (NPS), Software Maintenance and Services (Training and Consulting).
• Expand The MathWorks existing market presence and reputation; local and global within the territory and make use of all relevant information sources and personal networks within the Automotive sector to proactively development business within Named Accounts.

• Rigorously follow up and prioritize all qualified leads provided by marketing or sales support; energetically prospect for new business opportunities within Named Accounts.

• Accurately Forecast business and activities within the named accounts

• Work closely with potential customers at all levels to understand and leverage users, requirements and management business issues.

• Work closely with Automotive Reps in MathWorks offices in other countries to implement Global Strategies in Multi-National Automotive customers within Named Accounts

• Work closely with The MathWorks Consulting and Applications Engineering resources to develop and communicate the technical vision.

• Gain access to and influence the appropriate decision makers to manage any evaluation processes in order to pursue business opportunities through to a successful conclusion.

• Take ownership for the relationship between customers and all departments within The MathWorks.

• Gain in depth understanding of the current and future needs of target accounts and develop and implement medium and long-term account plans to realize the potential.

• Maintain comprehensive contact, lead and opportunity details on The MathWorks CRM database.



Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in an engineering or a technical discipline.
• 8-12 years of effective selling experience, with atleast 3-4 years of selling into Automotive accounts in India
• Highly analytical but balanced with commercial selling ability and strong negotiation skills.
• Should have considerable experience in selling to Senior Executives and Department Heads
• Self-motivated and goal driven, creative, high-energy and a strong team player.
• Strong work ethics and organized, quick learner
