Job Summary

Manage daily input and output of IT asset data, using The MathWorks asset tracking and management software. Verify that all asset data reported is accurate and match the data to purchasing information to ensure software compliance. Work with Purchasing to negotiate Corporate Software licensing contracts. Manage software licensing contracts for accuracy and monitor licenses for annual or periodic true ups. Notify and follow up with Business Area Managers for any non compliant software licenses to obtain purchase requisitions. Purchase needed licenses against corporate contracts to ensure compliance.



Responsibilities

• Document asset compliance through tracking audits and purchasing records
• Communicate and help enforce the Software Policy throughout the company
• Enhance and customize application and database as needed (MAGIC, SQL database)
• Design, create and maintain a report portfolio for internal operational use (SSG) and external use (other MathWorks business areas)
• Automate data analysis and reporting
• Work with business areas to gather reporting requirements
• Assist IT Asset Manager with managing software licensing contracts and monitor licenses for annual/periodic true ups
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy of data
• Manage asset life cycle
• Participate in various database and system-related projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, Finance or related field
  • 5-7 years corporate working experience with at least 2 – 3 years in an IT environment.
  • Working knowledge of software licensing
  • Well rounded working knowledge with Hardware, software, operating systems, networking and enterprise infrastructure
  • Knowledge of relational database systems and concepts
  • Experience and expertise in using database technologies
  • Ability to write reports against a SQL and Access database
  • General understanding of business requirements and how to translate them into reports
  • Strong written and oral skills required
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively handle multiple priorities
  • Analytical thinking
  • Initiative for process improvement
  • Strong customer services
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • ITAM, CHAMP or CSAM certification a plus
