Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for hiring, training, coaching and overall growth of the Sales Representatives and Applications Engineers, and for developing programs to enhance the sales performance and motivation of the Sales and Services Team. The Sales Manager will have a particular focus on new business generation and will address the market potential and sales strategies required to pursue the small and medium size enterprises, prevalent within Spain and Portugal. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for managing and developing people and programs to leverage the Education segment of The MathWorks' business.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include Sales and Services management activities, which include weekly funnel meetings, sales management meetings, territory/account planning-review, and customer meetings. The position will include travel to our corporate office in Natick, MA and other European countries. Additional time will be spent interacting and strategizing with Consulting, Marketing and Development.
Qualifications
- 3 years sales management experience
- Technical software sales preferred
- Bachelors degree required
- Strong sales planning, negotiating, and territory/account management skills required
- Familiar using CRM tools ideally Siebel
- Strong written and oral skills required
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English required, Portuguese desirable
