Job Summary

Senior software engineer to help develop next generation application deployment products.  Will be tasked with designing and implementing innovative enabling technologies for MATLAB users to deploy applications to the Web, Excel, Java/.NET, and other environments.

Responsibilities

Responsible for development and support of MATLAB Compiler and associated Builder products.
• Evaluate technologies available to implement next generation of deployment products.
• Use build and debug tools in Windows and UNIX environments.
• Develop product design specifications.
• Develop release schedules of development tasks.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Interact with all areas of organization including QE, technical support, usability, sales and marketing.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• MS/BS or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or mathematics
• 5+ years full time software industry experience with full product life-cycle development.
• Highly self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving goals and meeting milestones on time.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Skills:
• A strong working knowledge of C++ and/or Java with at least 5 years of industry experience.
• Strong software engineering skills in debugging/testing, and the ability to work with a large code-base.
• Experience with at least one of: Visual Basic, C#/.Net, JavaScript, AJAX is also required.
• Experience on both Windows and Unix platforms is a huge plus.

Experience with one or more of the following is also a plus:
• Scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby, Unix shell script, etc.
• Build and test automation using tools such as make/gmake, JUnit, NUnit, etc.
• Web development using J2EE, .NET, PHP/LAMP, or Rails
• MSOffice development using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
