Job Summary
Join our team and help our Big Data customers over-come the limitations of in-memory computing, while remaining in the productive technical computing environment they expect from MATLAB.
Responsibilities
You will participate in all phases of the design, development, and testing of Big Data solutions for MATLAB customers. You will work with advanced software engineering technologies in a collaborative team environment. Specifically, you will:
- Design, architect and implement interfaces to help manage large data sets from a variety of sources including different file formats and databases
- Direct the activities of junior developers on the same team
- Implement standard algorithms for Big Data, and coordinate with and support others writing more targeted machine learning statistical algorithms
- Coordinate with our Parallel Computing and Application Deployment teams
Qualifications Required / Preferred
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree with 7+ years of professional experience or M.S./Ph.D. degree and equivalent experience
- 5+ years professional C++ coding including object-oriented design and multithreading
- 5+ years professional MATLAB coding included object-oriented design
Preferred Qualifications, One or more of:
- Experience with file I/O and databases
- Experience writing computational algorithms
- Experience with distributed computing
- Experience with Hadoop or MapReduce
- Large-scale engineering software development
