C++ Senior Software Engineer - User Interface

Job Summary

Do you strive for elegant design? Do you enjoy tinkering with a code base for perfection?  We have just the right job for you. We are looking for a motivated C++ software engineer who can connect the dots between user interface design and software architecture development.  You will work in a feature area with high visibility internally as well as with our customers.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a team responsible for a key user interface and its underlying infrastructure supporting our simulation and code generation products.  You need to quickly understand our code base and various products, and features leveraging this interface.  You will contribute to both the design and implementation of a major overhaul of this feature area. You are required to participate in all aspects of software development with enthusiasm: collecting requirements, writing specification, coding, testing and supporting key customers.

Qualifications Required / Preferred

  • Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, or other closely related field, or M.S. with at least 3 years of commercial/industrial software development experience.
  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design principles and strong implementation skills in C++
  • Strong communication skills and a high energy level.
  • Experience in modeling languages is a plus.
  • GUI design and implementation skills are a plus.
