Job Summary

An opportunity now exists at the MathWorks Headquarters, located in Natick MA, for an experienced Channel Marketing Manager.

The EMEA and APAC Channel Marketing Manager designs, develops and executes revenue generating marketing programs with channel partners worldwide. This role requires an experienced marketer with the ability to successfully plan, manage, implement, and evaluate channel marketing programs.

You will be responsible for demand generation for the channel. You will work closely with all channel partners, especially the channel sales and marketing teams, to support and accelerate channel activities on a global basis. You will be directly responsible for managing annual planning with the partners, day-to-day communications with the channels, planning an annual marketing meeting, project management of activities that support the local marketing and sales efforts, partner portal management, territory specific projects, reporting and analysis and management of the global channel marketing budget.

You will also partner with the global marketing, sales and engineering teams based at US headquarters to develop and implement a strategy for marketing directly to customers and prospects in the Middle East. You will be responsible for all direct marketing programs and corresponding budget, including lead generation, awareness building, social media and sales-support activities.

This position is located in Natick, MA and the candidate must have the ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

Develop, design, implement and measure marketing programs at the distributor and reseller levels across the EMEA and APAC regions driving continuous innovation:

  • Manage and monitor execution of all channel marketing programs, working closely with the marketing, sales, and engineering teams at both headquarters and the channel partners
  • Responsible for partner communications: craft and send partner communications on an ongoing basis
  • Plan and execute annual meeting for channel marketing team
  • Responsible for content management, updating documents, posting new information, etc.
  • Manage annual planning and quarterly marketing reviews with channels
  • Evaluate and report on program activities based on business/program goals and marketing strategy
  • Serve as the first point of contact for partner questions and also serve as the point person to articulate and advocate for channel business needs at headquarters
  • Drive territory specific projects to drive business expansion and growth
  • Evaluate and measure current processes, and where necessary, establish more efficient and consistent ones
  • Evaluate and suggest improvements to channel investment program

Develop, design, implement and measure direct and indirect demand generation programs that directly impact business. Successfully develop and implement a plan that includes a mix of traditional and emerging lead generating activities and methods ensuring consistent lead and sales opportunity generation throughout the year:

  • Public Seminars: Manage promotion, venue set-up and payment, registration, lead upload into database, fulfillment and development of web-based response pages
  • Partner Seminars:  Engage with partners to successfully plan and implement events, including promotional plan, content, speaker requirements and lead sharing
  • Private Seminars: Work with the sales organization to plan and execute seminars at prospect and customer sites
  • Webinars: Define requirements to manage this lead generation program
  • Tradeshows: Manage technology conferences and partner shows as needed
  • Web-marketing programs: Social media, video, search marketing

Qualifications Required / Preferred

  • BS/BA required and 5 – 8 years Channel Marketing Experience in B2B or high-tech marketing
  • Understanding of channel management and communication with channels
  • Strong team player, proven ability in leading and working effectively with cross-functional teams, including the sales organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent budget management skills
  • Analytical, ability to analyze marketing activities and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • International experience
  • Self-starter

  • Foreign language skills (Russian, Mandarin or Arabic)
