Job Summary

As a member of the Computational Biology development team, you will be responsible for developing automated test suites and conducting hands-on testing of Java and MATLAB GUIs. You’ll work on the release qualification for the Computational Biology toolboxes. You will participate in projects from their early design stages and play a critical role in driving them to final product release.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new test suites for Bioinformatics Toolbox and SimBiology with strong emphasis on standalone and desktop based Java GUI test automation
  • Develop test plans and participate in design and code reviews
  • Execute interactive testing plans on UNIX and PC platforms
  • Identify, report, and qualify detected bugs using our bug tracking system

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree, or a PhD degree is required.
  • Programming experience in Java

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Object Oriented programming is required
  • Ability to triage issues and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Capacity to multi-task several testing activities concurrently
  • Programming experience in MATLAB
