Job Summary
The Internal Development Applications team is looking for a motivated, fast-learning candidate with experience in web development for analyzing and displaying metrics. You will be joining a fast-paced, dynamic software development team that is constantly solving new and challenging problems. We develop several web based applications that are the backbone of a development process that is continuously evolving so we need to quickly evolve our applications to keep up.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and implement modern web-based graphing technologies to integrate into an internal data analysis application which examines development success and productivity.
- Migrate legacy graphs to modern web-based technology.
- Work with internal cross-functional teams who are developing graphical libraries in order to use new technology.
- Add and enhance features in our development data application which includes business logic, preserving and displaying large quantities of historical data, and generating metrics for development teams and management.
- Collaborate with diverse groups within the organization to gather requirements and develop designs.
- Maintain close contact with our users to maintain and support mission-critical applications.
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- B.S./M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math and 7+ years’ experience
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SQL
- Experience with data visualization
- Experience with server side programming in Java and/or Groovy
- Knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation
- Knowledge of contemporary best practices in Web standards, Web design, and emerging Web technologies
- Experience working on large scale database backed web applications
- Ability to work on a team
- Flexibility to take on varied tasks
Plusses:
- Experience with MATLAB
- Experience with mobile web application development
