Infrastructure and Architecture Quality Engineer
Job Summary
The Infrastructure and Architecture Test Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing test plans and automated test suites, and conducting hands-on testing of the tools and technologies upon which MATLAB is built: memory management, interrupt handling, platform support, Internationalization, build environments, and library support. As a member of the QE department, this person will work closely with Development, Documentation, Program Management and Technical Support.
Responsibilities
- Writing tests in C++, Java and MATLAB
- Reporting bugs and verifying fixes
- Evaluating product performance on various platforms
- Porting of products and automated tests to new architectures
- Participating in requirements gathering and functional design reviews
Qualifications Required / Preferred
Qualifications:
- BS + 3 years experience or an MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Programming experience in C++
- Hands on experience with multiple operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Mac)
Pluses
- Experience with source control systems (such as CVS, Perforce, etc)
- Experience with makefiles
- Experience with Java, Perl, or shell scripts
- Experience creating automated test harnesses
