International Finance Manager

Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of International Finance & Operations, the International Finance Manager will be responsible for supporting the corporate-based coordination of the financial, field and operational activity primarily in coordination with the European field offices and indirect sales channels. Drawing on established processes and their own international experience, the successful individual will work closely with the EMEA finance and operations management and staff to ensure consistency, integrity and collaborative development of the international finance and operations organization.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key partner between the International Controllers and Corporate. Escalate and resolve day to day operating inquiries with the Director of International Finance & Operations. When applicable, provide guidance and resolution.
- Provide financial support and oversight by coordinating and communicating with each international location. Ensure Finance’s compliance to standards for accounting and operating policies at a regional level.
- Participate as an active partner in the annual budgeting and planning process for the international offices.
- Support the rollout of policies throughout international branches and subsidiaries, where applicable.
- Analyze results that will assist in making decisions about the direction of our international business. (Headcount, territory planning, productivity analysis, transactional metrics, etc.)
- Assist in overseeing the activities of the “channel” for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal financial statements, budgets, revenue analysis, annual audits, and performance metrics.
- Provide on-location support as needed to the international offices.
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- 12+ years experience in the international high technology software industry - ideally, 5 years in a management capacity.
- A university degree in a related financial discipline, as well as proven practical experience in accounting, analysis and finance management with several years focused on international operations.
- Exposure and understanding of sales operations and field sales functions, compensation, etc
- Demonstrated knowledge of local accounting practices in European operations (statutory, tax, intercompany, etc)
- CPA/Chartered Accountancy recognition would be a strong advantage, but relevant ledger experience would support the right candidate.
- English native speaking required - fluency of any other language would be a supportive consideration (e.g., Asian or European language.)
- Understanding of foreign business practices.
- Exposure to dealing with non-USA labor issues in Europe or Asia.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
- Experience using enterprise software packages such as Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, etc. for GL accounting consolidation purposes.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
