Job Summary
As an IT Trainer you will plan, schedule, and deliver training, related to internal applications and systems, to MathWorks staff.
You will be part of a dynamic team that supports IT users through practical, flexible, and timely training offerings. Working with the business areas, the IT Training Team focuses on a collaborative approach to identify the most valuable learning opportunities for new and experienced users.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, coordination, and delivery of IT Training worldwide initiatives.
- Support and administer IT Training worldwide initiatives.
- Perform training needs assessments
- Create and maintain training content and materials
- Deliver Instructor-Led-Training (formal classes and informal groups) in various applications and systems
- Provide coaching and consulting to specific projects and teams on curriculum/training design and development and build long-term business relationships with various groups within the organization
- Identify internal experts whose knowledge and skill can be leveraged by others. Work with them to find ways to share their expertise effectively, including coaching them to develop and deliver learning resources of all kinds.
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Training and Development, or a related area
- 3-5 years of experience in assessing needs, design and delivering IT training to company employees
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, workforce analysis, and the measurement of training effects
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization
- Exceptional communication skills including clear and precise writing, an engaging presentation style, and strong group facilitation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Quick Learner of new Applications / Tools
- Qualifications Preferred
- Familiarity with ADDIE methodology
- Experience creating e-learning
- Familiarity with adult learning principles
- Experience working with subject matter experts
