Senior MATLAB Math Developer - Numerical Methods
Job Summary
The MATLAB Math Team is seeking a numerical methods specialist to develop robust, optimized math library functionality for the solution of differential equations and numerical integration (quadrature).
Responsibilities
Your major responsibility will be to develop and maintain the differential equation solvers and integration routines in MATLAB. This includes:
- Maintaining the existing differential equations solvers and integration routines in MATLAB including routines for solving ordinary differential equations, boundary value problems, delay differential equations, and one-dimensional partial differential equations.
- Refining and modernizing the interfaces of the solvers.
- Ensuring that MATLAB is utilizing state-of-the-art solvers to meet customer needs.
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- MS or Ph.D. with 7 years experience in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience developing scientific software applications in the differential equations area.
- Experience with C++.
- Experience developing applications with MATLAB or similar tech computing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
