MATLAB / Simulink – Stateflow Quality Engineer

Job Summary

The Stateflow Quality Engineer is responsible for enhancing testability, developing test suites and conducting hands-on testing of the Stateflow product, both in terms of existing semantics/interface and also working on upcoming features and design paradigms based on a Stateflow centric approach. As part of this position, you will be using Mathworks tools for design, simulation and automatic code-generation. As a member of the development team, you will participate in the project from its early design stages and play a critical role in driving it to final product release.  The position requires working closely with Stateflow Development, QE, and Documentation teams and occasionally with customer facing groups.

Responsibilities

• Creating test plans and test procedures.
• Writing automated tests suites.
• Doing sweep testing using various techniques (feature-based testing, randomized testing, etc.)
• Reporting bugs and qualifying bug fixes.
• Creating test tools and enhancing existing ones.
• Participating in design reviews and code reviews

Qualifications Required / Preferred

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 3 years experience or MS and equivalent experience
• MATLAB proficiency is a must
• Working knowledge of Simulink/Stateflow and/or Finite State Machine theory is a must
• Familiarity with Object Oriented concepts
• Working knowledge of C/C++ is desirable.
• Must be self-motivated, inspired and must have good time/project management skills
• Good communication skills
