Job Summary

MATLAB contains tools for reading and writing image and scientific data files such as JPEG, TIF, HDF5, and netCDF. The ability to access and create image and scientific data files gives customers quick accesses to their data for analysis or reporting. Join our team and help customers get their data to and from MATLAB with ease.

Responsibilities

You will develop tools for MATLAB users to read and write from a variety of image and scientific data file formats. You will be involved in the entire development process, including:

  • Planning and prioritization
  • Gathering user requirements
  • Writing functional specifications
  • Design reviews
  • Implementation
  • Testing

You will work closely with other developers, quality engineers, usability specialists, and writers on the MATLAB Toolbox team.

Qualifications Required / Preferred

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience, or a Master’s degree. The degree should be in computer science, engineering, science, or applied mathematics.
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Experience with C++
  • Experience with a Unix operating system, such as Linux


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience authoring MEX-Files
  • Experience developing with image file formats such as JPEG, PNG, TIF, JPEG2000, and DNG
  • Experience developing with Scientific data file formats such as HDF5, netCDF, and CDF
