Job Summary
Our Edu Technical Evangelist team is focused on increasing customer loyalty and brand recognition in academia worldwide. The Education Technical Evangelist team continues to grow in every major region. This position will help create our vision to support student competitions, build metrics and develop the team.
Responsibilities
Strategy:
- Provide direction for the team strategy and for content creation
- Provide support and direction for the Edu Marketing student competition strategy
- Build programs that meet the customer needs while impacting a large number of customers and increasing usage of MathWorks products in a measurable way
Provide Marketing Programs support:
- Develop models that work globally, processes, and metrics that align with Academic Support guidelines but also conform to local policies
- Build metrics to measure the effectiveness of support programs locally
- Help PR efforts relating to student competitions; become a spokesperson for the MathWorks Academia area
- Assist Marketing Programs with the alignment of technical content for the audience
Engage with faculty and mentors:
- Attend conferences and competition events and get actively involved
- Work with organizations to build up MathWorks branding
- Pursue speaking opportunities such as workshops and panel discussions
- Visit strategic universities and build relationships with thought leaders
Team Building:
- Build the team to support global student competition support
- Support Edu Student Competition Marketing with technical needs
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- MS or PhD in Engineering or Science
- 10+ years of industry experience
- 3+ years of Technical Management experience
- Demonstrated experience and eagerness to work in a highly collaborative, consensus-based team environment
- Demonstrated experience working in teams across country boundaries
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Experience selling or marketing in the education industry a plus
- Experience as a professor or instructor is a plus
- Experience developing Laboratory course material is a plus
