Job Summary

The Principal Global Benefits Analyst is a key individual contributor of the global HR team and will partner with HR leadership and local HR Business Partners to design and deliver benefits and perks programs for MathWorks’ international locations in Europe and Asia Pacific. This role will research, analyze, plan, implement new and revised benefit programs, policies, and procedures in order to be responsive to the company's goals and to ensure that the company is competitive within the markets where we do business. This position is located in our Natick office.

Responsibilities

This role is primarily responsible for the governance, execution, analysis, and administration of MathWorks’ international benefit and perks programs.

  • Collaborate with global HR team in the development of key objectives and implementation of a unified MathWorks global benefit philosophy by providing international expertise and context.
  • Research benefits best practices through surveys, networking, and other sources of industry information for EMEA and APAC.
  • Using market surveys conduct analysis and recommend locally competitive and cost effective benefit packages.
  • Work closely with company’s global benefits brokers on all international benefits activities including annual renewals.
  • Build models to analyze and compare country benefit costs on an ongoing basis. Provide robust metrics and reporting.
  • Implement benefit communication strategies such as plan documents, plan changes, and employee and manager emails.
  • Administer the international leave of absence program ensuring that all data is up to date in our global tracking system.
  • Oversee the international perks program, researching and implementing locally relevant perks that are consistent with MathWorks’ global corporate culture. 
  • Work with Facilities to understand the regulations and standards for amenities in each country to create a desirable workplace.
  • Partner with the finance, HR operations, and payroll teams as appropriate on administration of benefit programs.
  • Participate in international benefit projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must be willing to travel Less than 25% of the time
  • A bachelor's degree and 12 years of professional work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of international benefits experience is required.
  • Must be able to conduct meaningful analysis on benefits programs using metrics and monitoring trends.
  • Ability to lead projects across functions and geographies
  • Strong technical capabilities. Strength in Excel knowledge is required.
  • Experience in retirement plan design is required.
  • Highly organized with very strong attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritization in a fast paced environment with a minimal amount of direct supervision and strong initiative
  • Proficiency in planning, compliance and administration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
