Job Summary

This new role will be part of the expanding HR team. The Principal HR Business Partner provides guidance, coaching, facilitation and education on employee relations, performance management, and organizational design & development initiatives for a designated department. This individual also collaborates with other HR team members to address organizational needs, and initiate, participate in, or lead a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

Build the business partner relationship with management and staff; develop a strong understanding of their business, their goals and challenges; anticipate, assess and help to address systemic issues. Manage and resolve employee relations matters.  Coach and counsel management and staff on the performance management process, and provide direction on HR related topics and practices.  Ensure consistency, communication and collaboration in a matrixed and global environment. Analyze trends and use metrics to develop solutions, programs and best practices.  

Qualifications Required / Preferred

• 13+ years of HR Business Partner experience with a focus on ER and OD.
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proven experience coaching and counseling all levels of staff on a wide variety of issues, and a thorough understanding of performance management systems and employment law.
• Knowledge of OD concepts and models, such as team effectiveness, change management, communication styles, facilitation, and leadership development.
• Highly skilled in facilitating meetings and creating and delivering presentations to a variety of in-person and remote audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated business acumen and a working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines.  High tech experience preferred.
• Analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to diagnose root causes.
• Computer skills in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint and HRIS.
