Job Summary

We are seeking a talented, creative software developer to join our development team and enhance the partial differential equations (PDE) capabilities of MATLAB.

Responsibilities

You will take a leading role in identifying, planning, and developing additional PDE functionality for MATLAB. This requires a good understanding of the application domains and the overall modeling process, including geometric representations, data management, meshing, analysis, and visualization. More specifically, you will have expertise in the development of element formulations for finite element analysis and numerical PDE solvers in MATLAB, C/C++, or Fortran.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 12 years of professional work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • Knowledge of all aspects of the design analysis process.
  • Experience building and maintaining cohesive and motivated development teams.
  • Experience at setting directions for complex projects in the PDE area, consensus building, execution, and project management.
  • Expertise in the implementation of finite element methods.
  • Experience writing commercial software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of object-oriented software design.
  • Expertise in C/C++ or Fortran programming.
  • Knowledge of application areas such as structural mechanics, multiphysics, computational fluid dynamics.
  • Experience with MATLAB.
  • Experience with GUIs and visualization techniques.
