Job Summary
You will design and develop new technologies that translate MATLAB and Simulink designs to run on robotics platforms such as Robot Operating System (ROS), LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT, and VEX. In addition, you will work closely with the technical marketing team to identify trends in robotics technology in order to develop leading-edge product capabilities. You will showcase these capabilities at conferences and create solutions for teams to succeed in robotics competitions.
Responsibilities
- Develop MATLAB and Simulink code generation capabilities for robotics hardware
- Work closely with the technical marketing team to determine product roadmap
- Participate in all stages of design, implementation, testing, and product release
- Keep up to date on the fast moving robotics technology landscape
- Demonstrate product capabilities to educators and researchers and incorporate their feedback
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- MS degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering plus 2 years robotics application development , or PhD in Computer Science in a robotics-related field
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
- Experience with C/C++
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Robot OS
- Experience with embedded systems development
- Experience with student competitions in robotics
- Enthusiasm for presenting at technology shows or conferences
