Associate Sales Account Manager

Job Summary

As an Associate Sales Account Manger located in Natick, MA, you will be selling engineering and scientific software along with training and consulting services.  Responsibilities include managing existing territory accounts while prospecting for new business opportunity.  Applicants must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with others as part of a team selling approach with Application engineers, marketing and services team.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive territory growth and MathWorks presence in assigned territory
• Meet monthly sales goals for new software licenses and services
• Manage all software maintenance contracts within territory
• Qualify opportunities to understand users requirements and business needs
• Actively prospect for new opportunities within existing account base
• Ability to manage a high volume sales funnel efficiently
• Collaborate with other teams such as Application Engineering, Marketing and Services
• Effectively plan and execute field based customer visits
• Gain access to and influence decision makers within sales process

Qualifications Required / Preferred

• Bachelors degree or higher required
• 1-4 years direct sales experience required
• Proven track record of exceeding sales quota
• Strong consultative and analytical problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated success working in a team environment
• Experience presenting to customers
• Experience working in CRM system for pipeline and opportunity management
• Customer focused with strong interpersonal skills
