Working under the direction of Application Engineering Manager 1, will provide technical pre-sales support and guidance to MathWorks Sales Organization, and will assist our sales team in understanding and synthesizing customer requirements, while explaining the features and capabilities of our products relative to the customers’ specific needs.
Will prepare and deliver private and public presentations and seminars to customers and prospects that will include live demonstrations for such products as MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, SimHydraulics, SimElectronics, SimPowerSystems, SimDriveline, and SimMechanics. Will also determine customer requirements and recommend effective solutions. In addition, will manage formal customer product evaluations for a multitude of domains and applications, and share customer experiences with other Application Engineers, Consultants, and members of the Marketing and Development groups to ensure that future products meet and exceed expectations. Some scientific research and technical publication writing will be required to ensure that MathWorks remains at the forefront of the technology for which its products are intended. Requires frequent travel and on short notice.
Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or Control Theory and four (4) years of experience in job offered or four (4) years of experience in development or technical engineering sales support of modeling and simulation of battery technology or fuel cell systems.
