Job Summary
The Senior Business Process Analyst will be responsible for the overall coordination and evolution of the quoting, ordering and licensing business rules and end-to-end processes that span multiple business areas.
You will contribute to the creation of the next generation of our quoting, ordering and installed base systems that are based on these rules and processes. You will work across business areas to validate and document end to end business processes and core business rules. You will also identify and drive areas where efficiencies can be gained; either through system enhancements, process or model changes.
You will also assume a leadership role in governing changes to the related business rules and how they are implemented in the systems.
Responsibilities
Develop an expertise in the end to end quote/order/license domain, including cross-functional business processes and supporting systems:
- Document cross functional workflows and shared business rules and establish a change management process to ensure transparency for all key stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain a repository for shared business rules and governance process for determining how, when and if they should be enforced in the supporting systems.
- Identify areas for process improvement or model evolution; based on internal observations as well as from industry best practices.
- Develop business cases with supporting data, for areas where change should be considered.
- Regularly research and refresh market data on software licensing systems and business processes.
Work closely with the IT development teams to ensure business rules are understood and implemented consistently across our quoting, ordering and software licensing applications.
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- This position requires an individual with an interest in driving change.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA a plus.
- 7+ years relevant experience in a multi-national business environment.
- Strong business process knowledge, analysis, problem solving, and project management skills.
- General business acumen in targeted or related domain (i.e., one or more of the following functional areas: Operations/Finance, Sales Support, or Customer Service).
- Strong communication and relationship building skills; ability to work cross functionally and in white space.
- Experience working with ERP and CRM systems; both packaged and custom applications.
- Experience using MS office applications and Visio (or other process mapping tools).
- Experience writing business requirements, functional specifications, and developing use cases/user stories, etc.
- Technical background a strong plus.
- Software licensing knowledge is a plus.
