Senior Oracle Business Analyst

Job Summary

Work as a systems liaison between Finance and Business Applications (IT) to support and maintain the ERP (Oracle E-Business Suite / EBS) applications and financial reporting systems.  Work with end users to understand their business functions and processes.  Define, develop, and configure software solutions that meet business requirements of Finance and Operations.  Provide the first line of technical support for super users.  Lead the expansion of automated processes to improve existing practices and address new business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and supports the production Oracle EBS ERP environment for the Order to Cash track (Order Management, A/R, Inventory).
• Assists with implementation of Oracle EBS applications in new offices worldwide.
• Provides first line troubleshooting support for Oracle EBS, differentiates functional issues from technical issues.
• Coordinates with end users and IT to ensure timely and accurate performance of the production environment supporting Finance and Operations.
• Understand the business models of MathWorks and work closely with end users to identify, recommend, and implement business process improvements.
• Champion the Finance and Operations approach to software project management.
• Write reports using Business Objects, BI Publisher and/or Oracle Report Manager to support the various reporting requirements of Finance and Operations.
• Perform as a core team member and/or project lead for software project implementations.
• Develop processes and procedures to maintain standard reporting structures and streamline maintenance efforts.
• Develop, maintain and deliver training to end users.
• Documents systems procedures to facilitate cross training.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the Finance and Operations website.

Qualifications Required / Preferred

• A Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of professional work experience, or a Master's degree with professional experience is required.
• 5+ years of experience supporting ERP applications (Oracle EBS 12.x highly desired).  Functional knowledge in one of the following modules from the Order to Cash track: Order Management, Accounts Receivable, or Inventory.
• General Ledger and EBS Tax experience a plus. 
• Experience with all aspects of the application change management cycle, including requirements gathering, developing test plans and delivering training.
• Basic knowledge of the accounting and order cycle.
• Experience supporting a global organization.
• Knowledge of relational databases, BI Publisher, Oracle Report Writer and SQL a plus.
• Customer service oriented.
