Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented, self-motivated Senior Software Engineer to join the MathWorks’ development team. You will work in an agile tight knit team with other developers, quality engineers, usability and technical writers. This is an excellent opportunity to lead projects in an experienced and high caliber engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Drive multiple projects from requirements to design, to delivery
- Gathering requirements, designing/developing specifications and implementing plans for new capabilities
- Improve quality of existing code base through debugging, re-factoring and improving unit and system tests
- Mentor other engineers on the team
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- B.S. or M.S. in computer science, engineering or related
- 10 years minimum experience with Java developing commercial software products
- Development experience on Windows and/or Unix environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Desire to work in close-knit and high functioning Agile software development team
- Strong Object Oriented design skills
Nice to Have:
- Previous Agile Software Development using Scrum or XP
- Experience with MATLAB
- Experience with Make, Ant or another build system
