Job Summary

Come join a team at MathWorks that writes online content to explain how to use our software scopes and simulation visualization tools for MATLAB and Simulink.

As an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, you will:

Act as the bridge between our developers’ designs and the end users, enabling them to discover what they need to know to harness our technologies for solving real-world engineering problems.

Distill the intricacies of our products into examples, procedures, and conceptual topics that help customers become productive quickly.

Help shape the design of our cutting-edge tools before they go out the door.

We are looking for self-starters with the background, skills, and enthusiasm for communicating creative ways to use MathWorks products.

Responsibilities

  • Write user-focused online content that explains key workflows and solutions to our end users
  • Develop examples and tutorials to show how to use our software
  • Identify missing topics and fill gaps in existing information
  • Participate with the development team in product planning, design review, and testing
  • Help MathWorks develop next generation online resources

Qualifications Required / Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science, etc.), plus 3 years of experience 
  • Strong writing skills
  • Passion for and ability to dive in and learn new tools and technology
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Critical, logical thinking
  • Outgoing, highly organized, persistent, flexible and able to focus on long term goals
  • Engineering experience a plus
  • MATLAB or Simulink experience a plus
  • Hardware instrumentation (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc) experience a plus
